DivX Web Player 1.4.2 Beta 2 - New

Play high-quality DivX content live in your favorite web browser

The DivX Browser Plug-In lets you embed high quality DivX video in your web pages without using special streaming servers or installing any server-side software. Video plays live inside the browser or full-screen!

Changes since Beta 3 include lots of bug fixes, a fully working fullscreen mode and huge performance improvements on the Mac as well as bugfixes and cleanup for the Windows version.

We've also lowered the minimum requirements on the Mac as the plug-in should now work on Mac OS 10.2 and above.

A universal binary version of the plugin is also in development.

The following browsers are now supported:
· Internet Explorer (5.0 and above)
· Firefox (1.0 and above)
· Mozilla (1.7 and above)
· Netscape (8.0 and above)
· Opera (8.0 and above)

Here are some key features of "DivX Browser Plug In":

· Playback DivX AVI files (DivX 5/6 video with MP3 audio) stored on a regular web server live in your browser, including DivX HD video!
· Save files to disk so that you can replay them later with the free DivX Player
· Monitor your connection speed and the download buffer during playback
· Watch video in windowed mode or blow it up to full screen
· Seek and trick play into the download buffer
· Change preferences for the download behavior
· Check for updates and instantly update the plug-in (with prompting)
· Awesome playback performance

What's New in This Release:

· Add: Supports downloading over SSL using "https://" prefix in video or src parameter URL
· Fix: In Firefox 3 the browser would occasionally fail to redraw changing from full screen to embedded mode
· Fix: In Firefox 3 the mouse cursor would sometimes turn black
· Fix: Stability issue for certain API methods
